About this tour

Combine two of Sydney's most recognisable attractions in a single private outing. Your driver collects you from accommodation or transport hub, then guides you through Featherdale Wildlife Park to meet kangaroos, koalas and native birds at close range. The afternoon half takes you inside the Opera House for a guided walkthrough of its interior spaces, learning the building's engineering and cultural significance along the way. The four-hour loop covers both natural and architectural highlights without the crowds of a group coach tour.

Highlights

  • Hand-feed and photograph kangaroos and koalas at Featherdale
  • Private vehicle pickup from hotel, airport or cruise terminal
  • Interior Opera House tour with architectural commentary
  • Expert local guide narrates both stops
  • Bottled water included throughout the day
  • Moderate fitness required; 300+ steps at Opera House
  • Mobility Access tour option available at 11.30am start

What to expect

You'll be collected by your private driver and taken to Featherdale Wildlife Park, where you spend time observing and photographing Australia's endemic animals in enclosures. Expect close encounters with koalas, kangaroos and other species; this is less a zoo and more a hands-on wildlife introduction. The second half moves to the Sydney Opera House, where a guide leads you through its foyers, concert halls and backstage spaces. The interior tour involves sustained walking over around 300 steps spread across the building's multiple levels. You'll cover roughly 2.5 kilometres of ground and remain on your feet for most of the hour-long walk, though the guide pauses to explain the building's history and design.

Good to know

Wear comfortable walking shoes and bring sun protection for the wildlife park. The Opera House interior tour includes significant stair climbing with railings available. A specialised Mobility Access tour runs at 11.30am daily (subject to availability) and requires an earlier 7.30am start to your full itinerary. Food and tips are not included. Seatbelts are mandatory in the vehicle.
