What to expect

You'll board a 24-foot keelboat with a professional skipper and crew. If you want hands-on involvement, they'll teach you how to set the sails and steer. Prefer to relax? Sit on deck and let the crew handle it. The boat moves through Manly's waters past residential foreshore, smaller beaches tucked into coves, and towards the harbour's iconic landmarks depending on wind and weather. The whole experience takes between 90 minutes and two and a half hours. Bring sunscreen and a light layer—water reflects heat but wind picks up quickly once you're under sail.

Good to know

Basic swimming ability is recommended but not mandatory. Children must be at least 7 years old and under 16s need an adult aboard. The Manly Yacht Club is wheelchair accessible, but the boat itself isn't. The tour requires a minimum of two participants; if bookings fall short, the team will contact you to reschedule. Not suitable for people with spinal injuries, pregnancy, or serious cardiovascular conditions.
