What to expect
You'll board the Brisbane-bound sleeper train and settle into your RailBed cabin, equipped with a proper bed, shower, and power points. Dinner and breakfast are delivered to your berth; lunch follows before you disembark in Cairns mid-morning. After checking into your hotel and freshening up, you'll be collected for the reef day tour—typically a boat-based excursion to snorkel or dive the coral gardens, with guides explaining marine life and reef ecology.
