This 10-hour small-group safari from Perth ventures into Western Australia's Turquoise Coast, combining three distinct experiences: hand-catching your own lobster in the shallows, exploring the Pinnacles Desert's otherworldly limestone formations via 4WD, and crossing the Lancelin Sand Dunes. Limited to five guests, the tour uses a specialised vehicle that accesses remote corners unreachable by standard coaches. All park fees, meals, drinks and guiding are included.

What to expect

Expect an active day with genuine hands-on components. You'll wade into the shallows to trap and collect your own lobster, then watch it prepared for lunch. The 4WD section takes you deep into the Pinnacles—a stark, surreal landscape of weathered limestone columns rising from golden sand. You'll have time to walk amongst them and photograph the formations. The sand dunes offer a different terrain entirely. Pace is deliberate with a knowledgeable local guide. Morning tea breaks punctuate the journey. Bring a hat, good footwear and realistic fitness expectations.

Good to know

Tour isn't suitable for those with spinal issues or cardiovascular concerns. Moderate fitness required—expect walking on uneven terrain and some climbing. Vehicle is air-conditioned. Sunscreen and water provided. Alcoholic drinks included; extra purchases aren't covered.
