What to expect
After a thorough safety rundown, you'll mount your jet ski and head out from Brisbane proper. The river broadens quickly, then opens fully into Moreton Bay's wider waters. You'll handle moderate throttle work across exposed stretches, threading past sandbanks and into quieter shallows where mangroves line the edges. As you approach Kooringal, the water shifts to striking shades of green and blue—shallow enough now to feel the seabed texture beneath you. Once ashore, you'll settle in at Gutter Bar with oysters pulled fresh from the farms that morning and a cold drink to hand.
