What to expect
You'll be collected from your Sydney hotel early morning and driven north into the Hunter Valley. The route itself offers pastoral views as you approach the wine region. Once there, your guide will take you to 3–4 selected wineries, where you'll taste wines directly from producers who explain their methods and philosophy. Between tastings, you'll enjoy downtime to absorb the hillside views. Lunch is at a local restaurant or café where you can order from the menu (at your own cost). The return to Sydney takes the afternoon, arriving by early evening. Pace is leisurely; this isn't a rushed hop between venues but a chance to linger where wines and views appeal to you.
Good to know
Lunch and drinks are not included in the tour price. Minimum age for wine tasting is 18. The drive from Sydney is roughly 2 hours each way, so comfortable clothing and sunscreen are advised. Prams and infant seats are available if travelling with small children.
