What to expect
Your morning begins with a pickup near your accommodation, then a comfortable drive to Tamborine Mountain. Once there, you'll walk the Skywalk's elevated platforms weaving through tall trees, crossing suspension bridges, and spotting native birds and plants from above. The pace is gentle—there's time to absorb the quiet of the canopy. After a break (often lunch at nearby cafés, at your own cost), you'll enter the Glow Worm Caves where your eyes adjust to near-darkness as the ceiling twinkles with tiny, bioluminescent creatures. It's intimate and strange. You can hop back on the bus whenever you're ready, making the whole experience feel unrushed.
Good to know
Wear comfortable walking shoes with grip; cave paths are uneven. Bring water and sunscreen for the skywalk. Caves stay cool year-round—a light jumper helps. Photography is allowed but flash photography isn't, so a phone with good low-light capability is useful. Food and drinks aren't included; budget for cafés on the mountain.
