What to expect

Expect to work the estuary's structural features—deep holes, mudflats and snags where fish bunch up during breeding season. Your guide positions the boat strategically and shows you which baits work best for each target species. You'll cast, work your line and stay alert for takes. Conditions vary seasonally; some days you'll find aggressive Queenfish and Trevally, other trips focus on the slower, methodical hunt for Mangrove jack and Estuary cod. It's not constant action but steady, purposeful fishing with genuine chances at solid fish.

Good to know

Bring sunscreen, hat and polarised sunglasses. The estuary demands respect—currents and tides shift conditions quickly. Not suitable if you have spinal or cardiovascular concerns. Infants must sit on a carer throughout. Public transport nearby if you're without a car.
