What to expect
Day one heads south from Perth to Busselton, where you'll board the heritage train along the iconic jetty stretching into Geographe Bay. Continue to the Margaret River region, stopping at wineries for tastings of Shiraz and Chardonnay alongside locally sourced food. Day two focuses on Augusta's striking coastline and the Cape Leeuwin area. You'll descend into the spectacular Lake Cave system, exploring stalactites and underground lakes. Expect moderate walking on both days—caves involve stairs and uneven surfaces, whilst coastal sections range from easy strolls to more demanding cliff-edge tracks. Travel time between locations is substantial; bring a book or conversation.
