The drive to Thredbo from Canberra is approximately 2 and a half hours, and from Sydney, you are looking at about a 6-hour drive. All you have to do is make your way to Jindabyne, and then it is only 31 kilometres away. But if you prefer to fly, then most airlines service the Canberra Airport from all the major Australian cities and from there you will fly to the Cooma Airport, which is only about a 1-hour drive from Thredbo.
