With so outdoor and indoor activities to keep you occupied, such as the Thredbo Leisure Centre, with its swimming pools, water slide, sports and kids club to the snow runs of Friday Flats and The Bluff that provide excellent downhill runs and cross country skiing at its very best.

You can find the longest ski runs in Australia at Thredbo as well as the most vertical terrain for you to tackle, and with the quick turn-around system of the lifts you can go up and down as many times as you like. Thredbo has ski runs for beginners, intermediates and advanced skiers. Friday Flats has been specially designed for beginners so they can find their feet in their own time, with just a gentle slope it makes for the perfect way to learn how to ski. With the majority of the ski runs suited for intermediates and the advanced you can ski all day till your heart is content on long runs of up to 5.9km long.

Snowboarding is another pastime for people who come to Thredbo with the perfect downhill cruising you can enjoy vertical terrain to challenge anyone capabilities. With the special designed snowboard run, with dips and natural hits you can really whoop it up on a number of fantastic courses set out specifically for snowboarders.

Night riding is another popular event, with regular sessions being held during the winter months, for people who just can’t get enough of skiing. Ski under the stars, run the ski slopes of Friday Flats or step it up a notch and try the Supertail for something different. It truly is an experience to be enjoyed and is very different to day skiing.

Every week the staff at Thredbo like to put on a fantastic display of fireworks and a flare run. For over 25 years visitors to Thredbo have been enjoy this weekly event of advanced skiers racing down the slopes, lighting up the village with flares and finishing off this amazing display with a round of breathtaking fireworks. The kids always love it, and so will you!
