Skiing and snowboarding in Queenstown, New Zealand is legendary. Not much further away are Cardrona and Treble Cone and there are also several smaller resorts nearby. If it’s untouched remote powder that turns you on then heliskiing is also available.

It is wise to try and stay in Queenstown accommodation for at least a week as there is so much to see and do in the region. You can ski at a different resort every day if you wish. Shuttle bus services will pick you up from your accommodation and deliver you back at the end of your day. Many people find it convenient to hire their own car when holidaying in this region as it opens up so many opportunities. While in the region you must take a tour or drive to Milford Sound on the West Coast. A boat ride on the sound is really spectacular and the scenery on the way is unbelievable. You will travel through the regions that formed the backdrop for middle earth in the Lord Of The Rings trilogy. If you are looking for some other activities then try bungy jumping or jet boat riding. Your next adrenaline rush will be unforgettable on this New Zealand holiday.

The ski resorts of Queenstown are second to none. Coronet Peak is serviced by a fully sealed road and snow making equipment ensures that there is always plenty of snow. There is heaps of lifts to keep the queues short. The Remarkables is accessed by a mountain road that is a thrill ride in its own right. The slopes cater for every level of expertise and the views are amazing. Once again there is plenty of lift capacity. Cardrona is located about half way between Queenstown and Wanaka so you could stay in either. The alpine drive to reach the ski resort is quite spectacular and when you get there the slopes are superb. Treble Cone Resort is one of the best with a wide variety of terrain and excellent lifts and facilities.
